Summit Center Rules

The park is open to public use from 6am to 9pm daily unless otherwise posted. At times, access is limited or affected by private events and maintenance issues.

Visitors must comply with directions from park personnel and all posted signs.

Parents are solely responsible for their children's safety in the park. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Please help up keep the park clean and use the trash containers located around the park.

Bicycles, skateboards, roller blades, and recreational scooters are not allowed.

We love our furry friends; however, only service dogs are allowed in the park.

Please respect and protect the park, its visitors, structures, trees, and plants.

In case of an emergency, please call 911.

If any area of the park requires attention, please contact property management at (432) 818-0062.

The Following are Prohibited

  • Smoking, vaping, and drug use
  • Outside alcohol
  • Drones
  • Panhandling
  • Fireworks, cooking, or fires (other than in “The Woods” as sanctioned by Summit Center)
  • Littering
  • Reckless, lewd, or belligerent behavior
  • Protesting or political demonstration/assembly
  • Unlawful possession of weapons
  • Camping
  • Picking flowers
  • Glass containers
  • Organized sports, other than Renewed Strength Fitness
  • Silly string, confetti, glitter, or water balloons
  • Amplified sounds or excessive noise

The Following require a permit

  • Consumption of alcohol outside of the fenced restaurant and pub areas
  • Tents or other structures
  • Using any park area for special use (without written permission from park staff)
  • Selling or promoting food, drinks, merchandise, or services
  • Operating a motor vehicle or drone
  • Functions involving groups of 20 or more
  • Affixing anything to park property
  • Use of amplified/electronic sound devices
  • Performances or commercial activity
  • Commercial photography (see additional information below)

photo & video policies

Summit Center reserves the right to use pictures or video taken in the park for promotional materials displayed in print or online and may also use cameras for security.

Some types of photography and videography require permission and/or a permit. If you are taking photos for personal use, snap away! For commercial photography, a permit is required. Commercial photography and videography are defined as being taken with the intention to sell or promote (architectural photography, images for brochures, environmental/landscape photography, etc.). Non-Commercial photography and videography are defined as being intended for personal use (engagement photography, graduation photos, family photo sessions, etc.) and do not require a permit or special permission.

FAQs

When can I visit summit center

The park is open daily from 6am to 9pm unless otherwise posted. At times, access may be limited or affected by weather, events or maintenance issues. The businesses, retail stores, and restaurants will each have their own operating hours.

IS THIS A “CITY PARK”?

No. The Park at Summit Center was 100% privately funded. It is private property but is being made available for community enjoyment.

WHERE IS SUMMIT CENTER LOCATED?

The physical address for Summit Center is 3200 Mockingbird Lane (at the corner of Midkiff Rd. and Mockingbird Ln. in northwest Midland).

ARE THERE RESTROOMS IN THE PARK?

Yes. Restrooms are located in the center of the Park on the north side of the “Snack Shack”.

CAN I BRING MY DOG OR OTHER PET TO SUMMIT CENTER?

No. With the exception of service animals, pets are not allowed anywhere on Summit Center grounds.

IS SUMMIT CENTER ADA ACCESSIBLE?

Yes. Summit Center is dedicated to making everyone’s visit to our campus a positive, enjoyable experience.

WHERE DO I PARK?

There are plenty of parking spaces available in the parking lots surrounding Summit Center.

DOES SUMMIT CENTER OFFER WI-FI IN THE PARK?

No; Wi-Fi is not currently available in the park for public use.

IS THERE ONSITE SECURITY?

Summit Center provides private security onsite during certain hours, as well as security lighting throughout the park.

ARE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED IN THE PARK?

No. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the park outside of the fenced restaurant and pub areas.

IS SMOKING ALLOWED?

Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is not allowed anywhere on Summit Center property (including parking lot).

CAN I BRING IN OUTSIDE FOOD?

While we encourage you to try one of many delicious dining options available onsite at Summit Center, you are more than welcome to picnic inside the park. We kindly ask that you pick up and dispose of all trash appropriately. BBQ pits/grills are not allowed onsite.

CAN I RESERVE THE PARK OR PORTIONS OF THE PARK FOR A PRIVATE EVENT?

Yes! We have several options for private rental. Email info@summitcentermidland.com to get more information.

ARE THE PICKLEBALL COURTS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC?

To use the pickleball courts, you must be a member of Renewed Strength Fitness. The fitness facility does offer day passes for court use.
